On May 29th, the first "East West Computing" Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Computing Industry Conference with the theme of "Computing Union Global · Data Gathering in Shaoguan" was held in Shaoguan, Guangdong. The conference invited leaders of industry regulatory departments, academicians and scholars in related fields, industry experts, and executives of leading enterprises to jointly explore the opportunities and challenges faced by China's computing power development, and promote the implementation of the "East West Computing" project. Ritar International Group Chairman Hu Jiada was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled "Solid State OPzV Battery Embarks on a New Era of East West Computing IDC Energy Storage".



Chairman Hu Jiada stated in his speech that with the development of the IDC industry, how to reduce costs in IDC operations has become a focus of attention for many IDC service providers and customers. He believes that improving the utilization value of batteries and reducing or even avoiding sunk costs is one of the key points in reducing data center costs.
He stated that reducing electricity costs, increasing other benefits (such as participating in industrial and commercial peak valley, grid side peak shaving and frequency regulation, or sharing energy storage leasing), and lowering PUE are key measures for data centers to effectively reduce operating costs. Based on the above viewpoint, Hu Jiada believes that energy storage has great value in IDC. "Firstly, through energy storage systems, battery utilization can be improved and sunk costs can be reduced. Secondly, through energy storage systems, peak shaving and valley filling can be achieved, reducing electricity costs. Thirdly, through energy storage systems, demand side response subsidies can be applied for, further reducing electricity costs.
